Maine’s Electronic Waste Law
Beginning July 20, 2006, all waste computer monitors and televisions generated by households in Maine must be recycled (unless shipped out of state for disposal). Please contact your local municipality for information about how and where to recycle your computer monitors and television sets in your area. Maryland’s Electronic Waste Law
Maryland’s Statewide Electronics Recycling Program requires manufacturers of certain electronic devices to register with the Maryland Department of the Environment and pay a registration fee if they intend to sell covered electronic devices in Maryland on or after January 1, 2008. Please refer to the Maryland Department of the Environment web site for more information: www.mde.state.md.us/eCycling.
