At General Digital, we don’t just build rugged displays—we build solutions. While we’re best known for our traditional “dumb” KVMs that receive video input from an external source, some applications demand an all-in-one solution due to size, ruggedization, cost, or other considerations. For these applications, we can provide customizable smart displays that integrate as much (or as little) computing power as needed packaged inside a fully ruggedized system tailored to your exact requirements.
Technically, any of our traditional ruggedized displays can be equipped with embedded processing power to become “smart.” For example, a customer interested in our Saber standard-issue displays had a requirement for a ruggedized display with computing power. By leveraging our in-house resources, including our Embedded Systems Engineering group, IPC-certified solderers, and capital equipment (stencil printer, pick and place machine, etc.), we were able to satisfy this requirement beyond their expectations.
Our team has been building smart displays and computers since our inception in 1973, providing no shortage of options and ideas to meet your specifications. Browse some of our more popular configurations below, or contact a Sales Engineer to discuss your project today.
