Flip-Up Display/Keyboard in Rack Drawer

Featuring top quality high brightness and high contrast LCDs, combined with equally robust keyboards and integral trackballs, these monitors are intended for use in industrial and military applications, either as a portable/desktop device or as a rack-mounted solution.

Unlike a laptop housed in a plastic enclosure, the SlimLine and TwoView display-keyboard families are packaged in rugged aluminum and steel enclosures to ensure a long life of service. The display heads pivot across a wide arc on user-adjustable friction hinges, allowing users to adjust the viewing angle of the display for optimum ergonomic efficiency.

Configured with General Digital’s 19″ Rack Adaptor Kit, these units can be integrated into a standard (RETMA) 19″ rack chassis. A pair of roller bearing slides allows them to easily slide in and out of a rack for operation and storage.

SlimLine 1U Series

The SlimLine 1U Series is an ultra-low-profile, 1U-high (1.75″) flip-up LCD monitor with an integrated keyboard and trackball, designed to maximize rack space.

Its compact, durable steel and aluminum construction makes it ideal for confined environments like submarines and transit cases, while remaining cost-effective for commercial and industrial use. Continuous-friction hinges allow for a customizable viewing angle of over 90°.

The SlimLine Lite II Series, developed in the early 1990s, is a compact, lightweight, and rugged operator interface designed for industrial and military use.

Featuring high-brightness LCDs (15″–20″) and durable keyboards with integrated trackballs, it functions as both a portable/desktop device and, optionally, a rack-mounted solution. Unlike plastic-housed laptops, its aluminum and steel construction ensures long-term durability. The display pivots 115° on robust friction hinges for ergonomic viewing.

With General Digital’s 19″ Rack Adaptor Kit and roller-bearing slides, it integrates seamlessly into standard 19″ rack chassis for easy storage and operation.

The TwoView Series dual flip-up LCD monitors optimize rack space while doubling visual capacity. Available in three configurations:
